Shorrock Gardens Care Center receives perfect report card from the Department of Health

In its most recent survey, they awarded Shorrock Gardens Care Center of Brick a perfect report card, and its highest grades for quality of life, quality of care, safety and more.

Shorrock Gardens Welcomes New Specialists, and new Worlds of Senior Care.

Brick, NJ –– Shorrock Gardens Care Center continues to build on its reputation of providing the area’s most comprehensive, highest quality post-hospital rehabilitation and sub-acute senior care, by seeking out the highly skilled professionals who can deliver it. To that point, Shorrock Gardens announced it is welcoming two new physiatrists to their team of dedicated senior care professionals; Talya Fleming, MD, Fellow-AAPMR, Diplomate-ABPMR, and RaShonda Flowers, MD.

“We are thrilled to have the clinical expertise of Dr. Fleming and Dr. Flowers spearheading our rehabilitation program” says Administrator Ronald Denti. “Being able to enhance our program by adding another layer of service means our residents will be the beneficiaries of exceptional care and clinical oversight.”

Shorrock Gardens Care Center opens Peritoneal Dialysis Program

One of the area’s premier senior nursing centers is bringing a special kind of world-class care to local residents who need it most. Shorrock Gardens Care Center is pleased to announce the launch of their state-of-the-art Peritoneal Dialysis Program. Shorrock Gardens, a multi-purpose complex designed around a wide scope of patients’ needs, including long- term, short -term and post-surgery care and rehabilitation, will accept qualifying residents into the Program either from their own homes, or from area nursing homes.

Shorrock Gardens Care Center is located in Brick, on the border of Lakewood and Toms River. The new Program is welcome news for Ocean County kidney patients who often have to travel by ambulance for these special treatments, and now can get personalized care and devotion in a nurturing environment right in their own backyard. “Throughout the State there are only about 5% of nursing homes who are specially licensed to provide peritoneal dialysis,” says Wendy Metzger, Administrator. “Adding this service is a natural progression in Shorrock Gardens’ constant expansion of quality services for seniors in our neighborhood. This will truly be a great service for those in need.”

The Haven at Shorrock Gardens Steps Up to fight

Brick, NJ –– The Haven at Shorrock Gardens Care Center, one of Ocean County’s leaders in assisted living services, announced that for the 13th year will be participating in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s Disease, the nation’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. The Walk, to be held September 29th, brings together entire communities in the fight against this devastating disease. United with the Alzheimer’s Association by common goals, The Haven at Shorrock Gardens has helped raise over fifty thousand dollars in the fight against Alzheimer’s Disease through donations and various fundraising initiatives including bake sales, gift raffles, barbecues and carnivals.
